For Memory
In our mad dash of backing up all our files (as a result of having our precious DV tapes stolen), I remembered that we have a copy of this video, which was edited from all those lost tapes. This is what we showed our guests at the wedding reception, and while we have watched this over and over again during the editing process… I’m realizing that a lot of other people have either only seen this once or not at all.
So, in grieving for our lost tapes, here’s the one video we have left. It’s also our salute to ITP as the program celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend:
(Some of the clips are interlaced and blurry because they were either on an old tape or already got compressed. This had to be compressed again for the web, so there’s a bit of quality lost there too.)
At exactly this time last year, when the summer was over in Toronto (and it wasn’t much of summer), I flew back to Thailand to ‘prepare’ for the wedding, thereby escaping the arrival of Canada’s brutally cold season. Today we woke up with a 4 degree celsius (that’s 39F for you Americans) air outside. I’m not escaping to Thailand this year, but at least we’re leaving for New York City for the ITP 30 events – where it’s a tad warmer.
how did i get here?
